South African Foreign Policy Research and Dialogue

In November 2006, SAIIA established a programme dedicated to research on South African foreign policy, with emphasis on relations with Africa. Part of the programme’s objective is to host a Foreign Policy Dialogue. This would be an annual event at which eminent South Africans from all sectors of society with an interest in foreign relations issues would engage with each other.

For practical reasons, SAIIA’s existing Latin America Programme (its oldest continuous research project) and the East Asia Programme have been incorporated into the Foreign Policy Research Programme.
