Membership

Our membership base comprises a wide range of private sector companies, diplomatic missions, institutions, students and individuals who have an interest in international affairs.

This programme provides affiliates with a portfolio of services in return for their financial support.

Our membership package includes monthly electronic updates on the research produced by the Institute, as well as regular email briefings on topical issues by our Chief Executive Elizabeth Sidiropoulos.

Members receive invitations to selected research dissemination and public events, providing a valuable opportunity to interact with a wide range of expert speakers, representatives from civil society, government, students and individual members.

Members are welcome to interact with our research team for informal topic discussions and have access to our Library, based at our head office on the Wits University campus.

The entry point for membership is a basic package of benefits which gives a wide-angle view on our work, including:

  • Monthly electronic updates and summaries of the research we produce
  • Access to our Library
  • Access to the research team for informal discussions
  • Invitations to research dissemination events

A range of additional services are provided to certain membership categories and the annual membership fee is structured accordingly.

Over and above the basic membership benefits, we welcome the opportunity to assess your membership needs to enable you to fully benefit from our expertise in the areas of international affairs, foreign policy, governance of African countries, economic diplomacy and governance of Africa’s natural resources.
