SAIIA Branches cater for both individual members and student members, as well as tertiary institutions, schools and local organisations. They also organise youth development activities such as schools quiz competitions in their area. This category of membership is designed for South African companies as well as multinational companies doing business in South Africa and the region.
This membership pertains to diplomatic missions accredited to South Africa whether at the embassy and high commission, consulate general or consulate level.
Institutional membership is designed for not for profit organisations and government departments (as opposed to corporate members who pay considerable more) who want greater access to our work.

The Johannesburg Branch of the Institute was dissolved in November 2009 and now individual members in Johannesburg and surrounds are serviced directly by SAIIA Head Office in Johannesburg.

Branch Membership (Western Cape, Pietermaritzburg, East London)
SAIIA has active branches in Cape Town (covering the Western Cape), Pietermaritzburg and East London. These are run by volunteer committees who organise a series of speakers’ meetings and other events locally to which members are invited.
