Background:
Yarik arrived in South Africa at the end of 2001. While the initial plan was to only complete an undergraduate degree at the University of Pretoria, he soon discovered that plans don’t always work out, and he also completed his Honours and Master’s degrees at “Tukkies”. Before joining SAIIA he worked as a lecturer at the Department of Political Sciences at both Hatfield and Mamelodi campuses of the University of Pretoria.
