H.E. Mr Christophe Farnaud, Ambassador of France to South Africa, arrived in South Africa in January 2017 after spending four years in Paris in the private sector. Mr Farnaud is an experienced career diplomat who previously served as France’s Ambassador to Greece from 2007 to 2011. Before that, he was Diplomatic Advisor to the French Prime Minister from 2005 to 2007 and worked in the private office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs between 2002 and 2004. He also worked in several French foreign missions around the world including in Egypt, Brussels and Jordan. Mr Christophe Farnaud is fluent in English and Arabic.
