Speaker biography

Walter J Lindner has been the German Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, to the Kingdom of Lesotho and designated to the Kingdom of Swaziland since 2015.  Having majored in music at university, Lindner is passionate about African tunes. Lindner previously served as the spokesperson of the German Foreign Minister, Germany’s Ambassdor to Kenya, Director for Sub-Saharan Africa in the German Foreign Office and until recently as the Special Representative of Chancellor Merkel for the Ebola Crisis.
