Emerging Powers and their Development Aid Policies
The intention of this closed brainstorming session was to explore the evolving development aid policies of the emerging powers while extracting lessons from the European development experience. The session started with a critical analysis of the European development experience. It then moved onto a panel discussion by representatives from key emerging economies, namely India, China, South Africa, and Brazil.
Below are the available presentations from the ‘Emerging Powers and their Development Aid Policies' workshop.- European perspective on development policies, lessons for emerging powers by James Mackie, European Centre for Development Policy Management, Brussels.
- The challenges of effective aid delivery: good intentions versus good results by Ross Herbert, programme head, Governance and APRM, SAIIA.
