The SADC Secretariat, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit – GIZ – and SAIIA would like to invite you to participate in the launch of a series of business case studies documenting the TOP 10 business constraints in SADC region in a tangible way.

Location: Gabarone

Various surveys and indices have identified major business constraints in SADC over the last years. But there has been little follow up or attempts to address the identified constraints by policy makers due to a lack of understanding as to how practical solutions could be found to overcome these constraints. To assist in this regard, SAIIA on behalf of GIZ is documenting concrete case studies of specific firms operating in the region. The case studies will be used to influence policy dialogue, in order to make it more fact based. They will be presented to decision makers in the SADC region through ongoing engagements with the private sector and at specific dialogue events. The launch of the research will take place at a dinner function in the margins of the Strategy Session of the Association of SADC Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCCI) on Thursday 1 March 2012 at the Phakalane Golf Estate Hotel Resort in Gaborone, Botswana.

Please RSVP to Ms. Salvation Andrease on email: salvation.andrease@saiia.org.za or by telephone: +27 12 430 2760. It would be appreciated if you could indicate any special dietary requirements.
