The South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), Western Cape Branch, invites you to a public seminar to be addressed by Peter Draper speaking on "Trade and climate change - implications for Southern Africa?" at The Centre for the Book, 62 Queen Victoria Street, Gardens, Cape Town on Thursday 20 October 2011 at 5:00 for 5:30 pm.

Speaker biography:

Peter Draper´s current domestic affiliations include: Senior Research Fellow in the Economic Diplomacy programme at the South African Institute of International Affairs; Visiting Adjunct Professor of International Business at Wits Business School; and Research Associate of the Department of Political Science at the University of Pretoria. His current international affiliations include: board member of the Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis; non- resident senior fellow of the Brussels-based European Centre for International Political Economy; non-resident Fellow of the OECD´s Development Centre; member of the IMD-Lausanne´s Evian group; chair of the World Economic Forum´s Global Agenda Council on Trade; and member of the World Economic Survey Expert Group coordinated by the Institute for Economic Research at the University of Munich. Peter Draper is the Editor of "Climate Change and Trade: The Challenges for Southern Africa."
