Speaker's Meeting, 29 August 2007: The Pretoria Branch Speaker’s Meeting was addressed by PROFESSOR GERRIT OLIVIER, South Africa's First Ambassador to Moscow, on "Russia and the West: A Cold Peace after the Cold War?".


Speaker's Meeting, 25 October 2006: Dr Greg Mills, the Director of The Brenthurst Foundation, gave an address on 'Afghanistan - Five Years After 9/11'. The former national director of SAIIA was seconded to the Nato-led International Security Assistance Force in Kabul for about five months this year as a special adviser. He provided strategic analysis to the headquarters, with the status equivalent to that of a Major-General.


Speaker's Meeting, 20 June 2005: The branch hosted His Excellency Mr Harro Adt, Ambassador for Germany, who gave an address on "Reform of the UN Security Council: The German View". The event was at The Pretoria Country Club. For more details call Prof Deon Fourie on (012) 344-0257.
